JFSE is a scientific, peer-reviewed, print and open-access journal published by the Forestry and Wildlife Department at the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. The journal aims to publish peer-reviewed research papers, short communications, reviews, comments, and scientific conference proceedings in a special issue. Its emphasis is on forest biometrics; forest socio-economics, management, and policy; agroforestry practices; forest biomass, carbon, and bioenergy; forest biotechnology and molecular biology; forest adaptation to climate change; landscape ecology; forest soils, genetics, and tree breeding; wood properties and quality improvement; wood and non-wood cellulose processing; forest engineering; wildlife ecology, conservation, and ecotourism; rangeland management; and other relevant fields.
